There are two isomers of phellandrene: alpha-phellandrene and beta-phellandrene. The alpha isomer has a fresh, minty, and slightly citrusy aroma, while the beta isomer has a slightly woody, spicy, and camphoraceous scent. Both isomers are colorless liquids with a characteristic minty taste.
